Becoming a member at Bella Vista Baptist is about becoming part of a family, not putting your name on a roll or joining a club. As you attend Bella Vista Baptist, you may have questions, or maybe you've decided you're ready to call Bella Vista Baptist home. If you are interested in joining or knowing more about the church, we encourage you to talk with a pastor, attend a DiscoverBVBC luncheon, or complete the Next Step Card and we will get in touch with you.
How do I become a member?
STEP 1: MEET WITH A PASTOR
Meeting with one or more of our pastors, you will have an opportunity to get to know our pastors, share your story, discuss baptism or past church membership, and let us know how we can care for you specifically. This conversation also allows you an opportunity to ask questions about Bella Vista Baptist.
STEP 2: JOIN BY BAPTISM, STATEMENT, OR LETTER
JOIN BY BAPTISM:
If you’ve never been baptized by immersion, this is the time to ask questions. Find out what we believe about baptism. If you desire to be baptized, we will set up your next steps. Please note: to be a member of the church, believer’s baptism by immersion, either now or in the past, is required.
JOIN BY STATEMENT:
Joining by statement means you have committed your life to Jesus and have participated in believer's baptism by immersion sometime in the past.
JOIN BY LETTER:
Joining by letter means you are currently a member of another Baptist church and would like to transfer your membership letter to Bella Vista Baptist. Simply let us know where you are a member, and we will contact them requesting to transfer your letter.
STEP 3: AFFIRMATION
After these steps, you will be presented to the church for membership in a quarterly members meeting to be affirmed as a member of the church.
